Ifx (investment funds exchange) is an innovative investment fund trading segment operated by Boerse Stuttgart. Investors have been trading actively managed investment funds on Ifx throughout the exchange trading day from 8.00 until 22.00 hours CET with no front-end load since 2006. As well as the services of a quality liquidity provider (QLP), investors benefit from the liquidity and price quality generated by a bank that has undertaken to act as a market maker.
The Ifx segment includes over 2,000 of the most popular investment funds for investors to choose from. Trading is based on Boerse Stuttgart’s hybrid market model, which integrates the role of a QLP into electronic trading. The QLP is obliged to provide quotes for all securities and in doing so to take account of the continuous price information provided by the market maker. The QLP can therefore ensure that trading in the Ifx segment is of high quality as well as increasing liquidity for trading purposes.
