The Wholesale segment includes revenue from the sale of electricity to the wholesale electricity market, to Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers and to the customer segment. The Customer segment refers to the revenue from delivering energy to customers less the cost of purchasing energy; and costs to service and distribute energy to customers. The Unallocated segment includes corporate functions not directly allocated to the operating segments, and contacts share of earnings from associates and joint ventures. The company was founded on November 8, 1995 and is headquartered in Wellington, New Zealand.
