Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse

The Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse consists of a public and a private section. Managing directors are Dr. Constantin Bettermann, Dr. Katja Bodenhöfer-Alte and Oliver Hans.

Public section of the company

Independently of Boerse Stuttgart GmbH, the impartial public status of the Stuttgart Exchange is ensured by Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse. The statutory exchange bodies – the management of the exchange, Exchange Council, Trading Surveillance Office and Sanctions Committee – are based within this public entity with partial legal capacity. The purpose of these independent and autonomous bodies is to set up and continuously develop a set of rules and to supervise exchange trading.

Private section of the company

Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse GmbH acts as the administrating and operating company for Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse. This is because, as a public entity with partial legal capacity, the exchange has no legal capacity under civil law. The company therefore provides the technical, human and financial resources for the operation of the exchange.

Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse GmbH runs Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse and the open market (also referred to as unofficial regulated market) of the exchange. It also provides services for issuers and investors, especially in relation to information, training, education, and technical support.
