Datalogic SpA engages in the manufacturing and provision of automatic data capture and industrial automation products and solutions. It operates through the Datalogic and Informatics segments. The Datalogic segment is involved in the designing and producing bar code scanners, mobile computers, detection, measurement and security sensors, vision and laser marking and RFID systems that contribute to the processes in the areas of retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and healthcare, along the entire value chain. The Informatics segment sells and distributes products, and solutions for the management of inventories and mobile assets tailored to small and medium sized companies. The company was founded by Romano Volta in 1972 and is headquartered in Calderara di Reno, Italy.
