It operates through the following segments: Retail, Office, Logistics and Industrial, Trading and Development, V&A Waterfront, Growthpoint Healthcare portfolio (GHPH), Growthpoint Student Accommodation (GSAH), Lango, GOZ, and GWI. The Retail segment comprises shopping centers, standalone single-tenanted properties, regional, community, neighbourhood, retail warehouses and specialty centres. The Office segment includes high-rise and low-rise offices, office parks, office warehouses, vacant lands, and mixed-use properties. The Logistics and Industrial segment include warehousing properties, logistics and industrial parks, motor-related outlets, low and high-grade, high-tech logistics and industrial, telecommunication assets, land zoned for developments, vacant land and mini, midi and maxi units. The Trading and Development segment includes nine properties across South Africa. The V&A Waterfront segment includes 123-hectare mixed-use property development situated in and around the historic Victoria and Alfred Basin consisting of retail, office, fishing, logistics and industrial, hotel and residential properties. The GHPH segment includes seven hospitals, one pharmaceutical warehouse facility, and one medical chamber building. The GSAH segment includes student accommodation properties situated in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town. The Lango segment includes office and retail properties across cities in African continent. The GOZ segment includes logistics, industrial and office properties. The GWI segment includes standing properties in Romania and Poland consisting of modern A-grade offices, logistics and industrial properties, as well as a residential complex. The company was founded in October 1987, and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
