General remarks on exchange trading

Trading on cannabis related securities

The trading of securities of issuers whose main business purpose is directly or indirectly connected to cannabis or other narcotic substances (and not mainly medical) is according to the current status no longer possible on the Stuttgart Exchange with effect from 25 September. The reason for that are legal requirements under Luxembourg law applicable to the central securities depository (CSD) Clearstream Banking. Further details can be found in Clearstreams announcement, update and in our circular

We recommend you to contact your custodian bank for any queries.

Changed rules on tick sizes for equities

New rules on tick sizes for equities have been in force at all exchanges since 3 January 2018. The rule specifies the smallest admissible price movement for each equity in trading. If you receive an error message when you submit an order for equities to Boerse Stuttgart, this could be due to the new tick size rule. Please see also our exceptions to the tick size rule.
